Why I didn't stay after the movie
Joshua D Edwin
I would kiss you, as a matter of course,
I would kiss you and continue
until we had capsized your bed,
upset your desk, and left a lonely lamp
hanging its nude bulb in the sweaty mist.
Then I would run frantically out the door,
my pants around my ankles,
squawking like a duck.
